From Metairie/Kenner: Head east towards I-10 New Orleans Business District, Keep Left onto US-90 Business for 6.5 miles, Stay on elevated expressway until you reach the Manhattan Blvd exit. Stay straight on lower expressway for .8 miles. Turn left onto Scotsdale Dr, and then turn in to the gated parking lot of the Harvey State Building.
From Avondale/Westwego/Marrero: Head east on the Westbank Expressway. Exit at MacArthur Blvd. Proceed straight thru the Harvey Tunnel and pass one red light upon exiting the tunnel. Turn right onto Scotsdale Dr., and then turn in to the gated parking lot of the Harvey State Building.
From Chalmette Courthouse, turn right (west) onto St. Bernard Hwy. for 2.1 miles and keep straight onto St. Claude Avenue. Turn right onto Elysian Fields Ave., then turn left onto N. Claiborne Ave. and take the ramp onto I-10. Exit 234C, and then turn left onto the ramp for 0.4 miles towards US-90/US-90 Business/Claiborne Ave. Nsxt, take the ramp (left) onto US-90 Business for 5.9 miles. Stay on Westbank Expressway and exit at Manhattan Blvd. Stay straight on lower expressway for .8 miles. Finally, turn left onto Scotsdale Dr., and then turn in to the gated parking lot of the Harvey State Building.
From Plaquemines Parish, keep north on Belle Chasse Hwy. and stay straight onto Lafayette Street. Turn left (west) onto the Westbank Expressway and take the ramp onto the upper expressway, then travel for 0.4 miles. Exit at Manhattan Blvd. and stay straight on lower expressway for 0.8 miles. Turn left onto Scotsdale Drive, and then turn in to the gated parking lot of the Harvey State Building.
Jefferson Parish District supervises approximately 4,200 offenders (2,300 probationers and 1,900 parolees), and conducts over 1,500 investigations per year. JPD is responsible for supervising over 150 sex offenders and approximately 850 violent offenders. JPD also supports and provides supervision for offenders placed in Drug Court and Veterans Court programs.
JPD officers work diligently to support local law enforcement crime reduction efforts in Jefferson, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, and Orleans Parishes. Special projects include the Jefferson Veterans Court Program, Orleans Day Reporting Center, Southeast Regional Reentry Center, LSP Reentry Court Program, Sex Offender curfew/compliance checks, Inmate Welfare Fund, warrant roundups, and Public Housing Safety Initiative.
The JPD staff works hard to provide community, spiritual, and educational based programs for offenders through job and community resource fairs, drug treatment, adult education programs, housing assistance, and mental health services. Community partners include Jefferson Health Services, Responsibility House, Metropolitan Health Services, Grace Outreach, Forensics Aftercare, Professional Academy, Greenpath, Odyssey House, Emmett Professional Services, and Pathways to Purpose.
Other Community Projects that JPD employees participate in include the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Second Harvesters Food Bank, Men’s Wearhouse Suit Drive (for releasing inmates), and Louisiana Special Olympics.
