Beauregard Parish is the 36th Judicial District Court with Judge Kerry Anderson and Judge Martha O’Neal presiding. Vernon Parish is the 30th Judicial District Court with Judge Anthony Eaves, Judge Vernon Clark, and Judge Scott Westerchil presiding.
The Leesville District (LSD) Office staff participates annually in the Louisiana Law Enforcement Torch Run, the largest fundraiser for the Louisiana Special Olympics.
District staff is also involved in both the Vernon Parish and Beauregard Parish Drug Courts. In addition, LSD has a representative on the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Task Force.
During the last several years, Leesville District has hosted an education class on Halloween night and has required all sex offenders under our supervision from Vernon and Beauregard parishes to participate in treatment and lawful educational classes related to their conviction. The offenders are in a secure area during traditional “Trick or Treat” hours to serve as an added protection to the public.
The Leesville District Office hosts monthly sex offender treatment classes which are coordinated by Relapse Prevention Resources under the direction of John Hewitt and Christophe Counseling. Classes are offered in both Vernon and Beauregard parishes.
Other Community Projects include “Jail-n-Bail” which benefits the March of Dimes, Food Bank, Men’s Wearhouse Suit Drive (for releasing offenders), and LifeShare Blood Drives.
